Youth Decry Exclusion from Ongoing IEBC Selection Process

Youth have expressed concerns over the ongoing IEBC selection process, where shortlisted candidates are being interviewed for the positions of IEBC Chairperson and members.

They have criticized the IEBC selection panel for their exclusion after it was revealed that the majority of candidates fall outside the youth bracket, with only a few being either within or slightly above it.

For instance, among the latest controversial additions to the shortlist, only one candidate, Joel Mwita Daniel, falls within the youth bracket. The rest—Hassan Noor Hassan, Jibril Maalim Mohamed, Michaels Ben Oliewo, and Stephen Kibet Ngeno—are significantly older.
